BENNACHIE PATHS PROJECT
The Bailies of Bennachie are reconstructing part of the main path to the Mither Tap. Please "Help Your Hill"!

We need your help in restoring a much-loved path to Mither Tap.
Our plan is to repair a 1000 metre stretch of seriously worn path below the treeline on the Bennachie Visitor Centre side of the hill. The hefty £100,000 price tag would see the work professionally carried out. We call on all of you who love Bennachie, past and present hillwalkers, locals and supporters to aid us in our mission and donate via our website.

The Bailies of Bennachie were approached by the landowner, Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) for our assistance in this work. At their recommendation, we have engaged with Outdoor Access Trust Scotland (OATS) to provide concept design, cost estimating and project management services for us. They have a successful track record in overseeing path construction of FLS land elsewhere in Scotland.

The current cost estimate is over £100,000. A significant part of this cost is the need for helicopters to drop in materials due to the inaccessibility of parts of the path. The path will cost approximately £100/metre to repair. All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
Has the hill been a big part in your life or a loved one’s life? Commemorate the love for Bennachie in a donation. Our donations page allows for Gift Aid to increase the value of donations. To help us raise the necessary funds our new online shop will also be launching soon with an expanded range of stock including our beloved calendar - all perfect for Christmas gifts!
Join us in preserving Bennachie for generations to come.
